Linux Raspberry PIs, Python, Sensors, Breadboards, GPIO, electronic schematics, HTML,CSS, essential tools for research....a long week full of excellent training. My favorite part of this week was also my most challenging. I wired a breadboard to use a sensor. It took me 2 days and dozens of walkthroughs of my wiring, testing my PI to make sure it wasn't toast, complete replacement of wires in case one was broken, testing each channel to make sure they were operating, and swapping out the sensor to test functionality. The problem ended up being a bad integrated circuit. What I loved about this whole trial was that in the end, I had spent so much time looking for the problem, I really gave myself a good grasp of how the entire system functioned, the flow of electricity, and how e
ach piece operated.
